Mashumbini Catering (Pty) Ltd Returns Policy

At Mashumbini Catering, we strive to maintain high service standards while ensuring minimal disruption to our stock replenishment and ordering systems. Below are our returns and credit policies.


Conditions for Returning Goods

Goods may be returned if they are faulty on arrival or if the following conditions are met:

  1. Returns must be initiated within 7 days of delivery.
  2. Items must be unused, complete, and in their original packaging.
  3. All original materials, including packaging, manuals, warranty cards, accessories, and documentation, must be intact.
  4. The product must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice reflecting the purchase details.
  5. Packaging must be undamaged as far as possible.
  6. An Uplift Number must be obtained from Mashumbini Catering prior to initiating the return.
  7. Goods must be returned within 3 working days of receiving the Uplift Number.
  8. The customer is responsible for all transport costs associated with returning the goods.

Important:
Mashumbini Catering reserves the right to refuse a return or impose a handling fee if the above conditions are not met.


How to Process a Return or Obtain Credit

  1. Send a copy of the invoice via email to admin@mashumbini.co.za or contact our customer care team at 011-781 7390 to request an Uplift Number.
  2. Once the Uplift Number is issued, return the goods to Mashumbini Catering’s warehouse:
    20 Dover Street, Unit 1, Randpark Building, Ferndale, Randburg, 2194.
  3. Ensure the goods are returned promptly after receiving the Uplift Number.
  4. Retain proof of delivery or a goods return voucher signed by Mashumbini staff for verification in case of a dispute.

Failure to follow this process may result in the goods being returned to the customer at their expense.


Non-Returnable Items

Mashumbini Catering does not accept returns for the following:

  • Personalized or customized items unless deemed faulty upon delivery.
  • Electrical and electronic parts purchased separately.
  • Items with serial numbers that do not match the invoice or original packaging.
  • Items that have been tampered with, labeled incorrectly, or fitted with counterfeit labels.

Policy on Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

Mashumbini Catering will process replacements or credits under these circumstances:

  1. Faulty Goods: Items found to be defective or failing to function immediately upon delivery will be repaired, exchanged, or credited.
  2. Damaged Goods: Damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery and the goods returned immediately in their original packaging.
  3. Incorrect Deliveries: Mashumbini Catering will replace items delivered in error or issue a credit if the above return conditions are met.
  4. Courier Damages: If Mashumbini arranges transportation, any visible damage must be noted on the delivery waybill at the time of receipt.

Demonstration Units

Mashumbini Catering does not permit machines to be sent on approval. Demonstration units may be requested for potential end-user presentations.


Electrical and Gas Equipment Specifics

Electrical and gas equipment returns are subject to the following conditions:

  • Parts such as PC boards, motors, elements, and contactors are covered if the fault is due to manufacturing defects.
  • Wearing parts (e.g., blades, belts, and bushes) and consumables (e.g., bulbs, fuses) are not covered.
  • Damage due to improper installation, incorrect voltage, power surges, or failure to maintain equipment is not eligible for returns.
